Founded in metro Detroit, Tome’s team of owls does the heavy tech lifting for established companies and leading innovators across a range of markets. With a small flock of engineers and proven management dedicated to creating incredible, customized user experiences at the point where hardware meets software, Tome deploys the latest high-tech tools to solve some of the world’s most interesting problems for clients including Ford Motor Co., Humanscale and SRAM Corp. The resulting solutions often lead directly to new products and services for Tome’s partners operating at the forefront of the larger Internet of Things movement. Jake Sigal and Massimo Baldini founded Tome in 2014 after they sold their first company, Livio, to Ford.

A proud graduate of Ohio University, Jake invented the original USB turntable at Numark before he went to work on satellite radio products at Delphi. He founded his first startup, Livio, in 2008 and spent five years developing Internet radios and a language that lets mobile apps and hardware systems communicate. Ford bought Livio in 2013 and Jake founded Tome to explore the Internet of Things tech space.
