Uncommon Conversations - New School vs Old School w/ Keynote by Chris Genteel, Head of Diversity Markets at Google

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Chris Genteel, Head of Diversity Markets and Supplier Diversity at Google will open this session with a keynote discussing the diversity in business.

Immediately following keynote the floor will open forum discussion in Detroit's Startup Ecosystem on diversity & inclusion and distance between Detroit's newest entrepreneurs and those that existed before Detroit's latest surge.

Discussion topics will gather around 3 keys themes - Pose It, Solve It, Pay It Forward:
"Pose It” // Challenges / Problems (Pain points you don’t know how to fix)
“Solve It” // Solutions (Doesn’t need to make money... Innovative solutions to problems we see)
"Pay It Forward” //  (Got A Business You Won’t Build… Give it to the ecosystem! New App? New Project? Leave your email if you want to be involved)

Results from the Uncommon Conversations forum will directly feed the live (May 23-27, 2016) Detroit Startup Week Ideas Wall.  The best of the ideas will be posted to social media. #IdeasWall #DETSW16

Results from the wall will be tallied, compiled and seed an annual Detroit Startup Week - Detroit Startup Ecosystem analysis and report with measured steps and goals for growth and solution progress.

Happy Hour Sponsored by Solidea Capital immediately following.

Uncommon Conversations is a gathering developed to bring together diverse tech leads who have launched successful ventures in Metro Detroit for uncommon conversations and resource exchanges.
